The program "Aid for Energy-Intensive Industries Related to Natural Gas and Electricity Prices in 2023" was developed pursuant to the Act of September 29, 2022, on the principles of implementing business support programs in connection with the situation on the energy market in 2022-2024.
Due to the ongoing problem of drastic increases in electricity and natural gas costs, on October 24, 2023, the Prime Minister signed a resolution of the Council of Ministers amending the program "Aid for energy-intensive industries related to natural gas and electricity prices in 2023." These changes align the program with the European Commission's decision confirming its compliance with state aid rules in the EU single market.
Aid was granted to 307 entrepreneurs.
The Minister of Development and Technology will provide assistance to companies, and the program will be operated by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFOŚiGW).
